While political science and Islamic studies have conducted comparative analyses of these two nations, few communication studies have compared them (Croucher, 2006; Favell, 1998; Fetzer and Soper, 2005; Keaton, 2006; Laurence and Vaisse, 2006; Weller, 2006).
